Senior HR Generalist - Richardson, TX (No Relo)

Incumbent reports to the Manager, HR Wireless Terminals and has overall responsibility to: administer the HR function for an assigned business group; conduct and/or facilitate interventions as needed to support productive work relationships; participate in the development of policies and procedures and manage the communication and implementation of those approved; assist in the creation and delivery of company-wide training and development programs; investigate and respond to complaints and reports of policy violations; counsel managers and employees to address performance and behavioral issues; and root cause analysis of organizational issues hindering effectiveness. Also acts as a resource in the development and maintenance of HR information systems. Possess strong working knowledge of employee relations, organizational development and effectiveness, succession planning, talent management and performance management systems. This also includes assuring that company HR programs are consistently administered in compliance with highly sensitive intercultural needs, company policies and government regulations.
• Counsel with managers, supervisors, and employees to identify and resolve conflicts, specific issues, and problems areas. Work closely with management to ensure compliance with and uniformity in the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures. Propose disciplinary action and recommend approval of final warnings and involuntary terminations. Conduct termination meetings.
• Participate in the research and writing of policies and procedures and disseminate to assigned business unit once approved, using effective communication methods for target audience.
• Participate in the management and implementation of employee morale building social activities supported by the Company. Recommends employee morale and company spirit building activities including picnics, holiday event parties and other creative and effective social events, including employee meetings.
• Participate in the management of employee recognition and total rewards programs.
Background/Experience:
• Four year degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
• Ideally 8-10 years progressive experience in all areas of Human Resources, including significant experience in proactively delivering programs and outcomes to issues and situations.
• Knowledge of government regulations, professional “best practices”, and industry trends as they apply to all HR related functions and responsibilities.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft business applications software, compensation software packages, or other HRIS systems.
• Strong aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing and leading in the implementation of Human Resources related programs and recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor or agency personnel. This includes a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personal and corporate dynamics.
