My good friend Kim landed after much ado
Just wanted to share with everyone that I have finally landed a full time Receptionist/ Admin Assistant position with the Healthcare company where I have been volunteering since February!!
I will be working for the Office Manager at Odyssey Healthcare which is a local hospice provider, and I am very excited to be joining a great team that I already have been working with for several months; and I will start next week.
Financially, and due to my volunteer schedule, I regret that I have been unable to attend the Monday morning meetings for some time now and therefore have not seen some of you in a few months. That said, I would like to thank everyone at FWCSN and SWFWCSN for their prayers and support!! A Big Big Thanks to Paul and Ret for your dedication and for keeping it all going, I respect you both and feel blessed to be a small part of a great group of people. Additionally, I can honestly say if I had not attended FWCSN I would not have known about volunteering and the potential doors that it can open. For that I am truly, truly thankful! I would like to share the importance of volunteering and what it has done for me. I never did it just hoping to get a job; but took the advice that it could help keep my skills current, as well as show potential employers that I was staying active and giving back to my community while unemployed. I shared this constantly in interviews and was told by several potential employers that they were impressed with the idea. The fact that it became a paid position was just icing on the cake so to speak, because I truly enjoyed it.
Also, I would like to extend a special thank you to Foster, my dear dear friend who has been a great support, a wonderful speaker and teacher, (and “preacher” I might add) and truly a blessing to me more than you know. Thank you, my brother, for all you give to everyone, and your words of wisdom that you have shared, may the Lord continue to Bless you and to prosper you in all you put your hands to!!
Lastly, but surely not least, my special thanks to Jerry Wakeland for your hard work and dedication to the SWFWCSN group, you are truly appreciated! ! Congrats on your new position and for being a good friend and listener, and may the Lord continue to bless you as well in all that you do!
I will continue to pray for everyone that those doors open soon, all I can say is “don’t give up and Trust God and He will bring it to pass”
God Bless!
Kim Salerno
