REPLACEMENT POSITION IN HOUSTON (GALLERIA AREA) HQ - Incumbent leaving to attend to family matters.

POSITION DUTIES - Reporting directly to the Director-Corporate Financial Services (a seasoned industry financial executive with 20+ years of experience who has been with the Company since 2007 with several promotions, and s a long time WM Shirley Friend who WMS placed with the Company in 2007), and maintaining regular communications with the six (6) Business Unit Controllers who are responsible for the respective payroll functions, the MANAGER - GLOBAL PAYROLL duties are as follows:
- OVERALL - Performing a vital internal technical consultant role for the various Business Unit payroll groups with ~4,000 total employees currently and serve as the overall functional lead for Company-wide payroll. The Corporate Payroll Group is directly managed by this Position and provides payroll services and accounting for Corporate and the Company’s 2 largest Business Units. The technical consultant role coupled with the Corporate payroll functional lead role requires both strong technical knowledge, leadership skills and the ability to TRAVEL (10-15%) to the various Business Units, mostly domestic US and Canada.
- SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT - Ensuring that the JD EDWARDS Payroll System is functioning properly across the Company, which requires a high level of interaction with the Company’s Corporate IT Group and the JD EDWARDS Application Support Staff. Tasks include implementing and testing of electronic system updates (”ESU”s); troubleshooting system issues as they arise; and providing problem resolution for Payroll Administrators located at various Business Units in North America and one (1) location the Middle East. Sound judgment needs to exercised as to when issues are to be escalated to IT or JD EDWARDS application support.
- NEW SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATIONS - Acting as the lead JD EDWARDS payroll application user with respect to new implementations, which will likely require business travel, both domestically and internationally.
- INTERCOMPANY RELATIONSHIP BUILDING - Building and maintaining positive, constructive working relationships with key stakeholders in the global payroll process from all Business Units and disciplines (HR, Treasury, IT, Risk Mgmt and Accounting).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - BASE SALARY $95,000 to $110,000+ range (NEGOTIABLE), commensurate with Qualifications; BONUS AWARDS: 0% to 15% Discretionary, Paid Annually

QUALIFICATIONS - Payroll Experience (Deep & Proven) - 7+ Years; INTERNATIONAL PAYROLL Experience - With working knowledge of all the nuances; ERP Experience - JD EDWARDS Payroll System Experience preferred; Ability To Travel 10-15%, mostly Domestic US & Canada
