We have a challenging opportunity for a Director of Fleet.

This position reports to the Vice President of Fleet and Safety and will be responsible for organizing, developing, planning, and management of the Company’s fleet of over 2,000 vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support branches with fleet purchases, vendor selection and management, obsolescence planning and analysis
* Develop, maintain and analyze a wide range of reports and computer generated information for tracking vehicle cost, re-powers, scrap authorizations, leased vehicle charge-backs to branches, and effective measurements of vehicle and operations programs
* Manage branch and shop operations including; recruitment of shop personnel, ensure proper training, certifications and equipment are in place, conducting quarterly truck audits and reports, ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory laws, and effective management of purchases and inventory

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial fleets of over 1,000 vehicles
* Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience
* Minimum of 1 year managing a mechanic shop
* Minimum of 1 year vendor management
* Associates degree or auto/mechanic certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s Degree
* Inventory Control
* Safety &/or security experience

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

* Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
