Senior Buyer
Job Description:
Summary: Work in collaboration with the Director of Materials to ensure materials and parts are purchased and available for manufacturing facilities to produce products and parts for OEM, supplier and customer orders. Assist with inventory controls and accountability during plant auditing and inventory controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Organize activities related to the procurement function.
Monitors purchasing systems and procedures.
Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports.
Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
Manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
Assisting in recruiting and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
A lot of the ERP is done manually
Must be advanced in Excel Pivot Tables

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) in Business Management, Engineering or Marketing from an accredited four-year College or University; three to five years of successful purchasing experience of raw materials, component parts including MRO components within a multi-plant/facility environment required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer software; Outlook Internet software; Pricing software; Microsoft Programs, such as Excel Spreadsheets including formulations and pivot tables and Word Processing software.

Will have some travel through out the year to Tucson, North Carolina, OK and El Paso.
Must be well spoken and able to take directions well.
