St. Ann’s Career Quest Ministry – Atlanta

19 July 2010 No Comment

I’d like to introduce Don and Eileen Schuster volunteer leaders of the newly formed St Peter Chanel Job Seekers Ministry. The Ministry’s mission is to prepare those in job transition to find and obtain meaningful employment. It has been meeting the first and third weeks of every month since May averaging just under 25 with little or no external marketing. From its beginnings the Ministry has sought the intercession of St Cajetan, the patron saint of job seekers.

Don began assisting job seekers in late 2007 at RUMC as a resume coach, joining Career Quest in March, 2009. He has also served as backup to co-founder Eric West at the ATL IT Advisory Group since January, 2010. The two year old networking organization’s members have shown a phenomenal track record of obtaining positions in the last three months. Eileen combines over a decade of commercial property management with Cushman & Wakefield with a decade and half flight attendant experience with Western Airlines prior to being purchased by Delta.

The Ministry’s next goals are twofold: first, to become a networking venue with sufficient numbers and variety to provide a worthwhile experience. Second to set up a recurring curriculum significant enough to allow attendees to learn the basics and how to differentiate themselves from the competition. How can you help?

§ Advise us of potential job openings

§ Let us know about those seeking educator opportunities

§ Introduce us to company representatives willing to discuss their career fields and companies.
