The products help the residential and commercial construction, automobile and appliance manufacturing and other industries provide enhanced comfort, energy efficiency and improved structural strength to customers. They develop and produce non-ozone depleting refrigerants, blowing agents and aerosols, solvents and specialty gases.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Services Engineer - Refrigerants for the Buffalo, NY location.

The position will be responsible for directing research and applying information generated in our laboratory on new refrigerant substitutes in air conditioning and/or refrigeration applications. The applicant needs to effectively communicate technical information to industry and customers to assist their transition to new environmentally safer refrigerant substitutes. The applicant will also assist in the development of new products, applications, and services to support the growth of Honeywell’s Genetron Refrigerants business.

Basic Qualifications:
• Associates Degree in Refrigeration Technology, Mechanical Technology or related area.
• 5 + years experience in product research and development, product design, or application engineering at manufacturers/wholesalers of mobile or stationary air conditioning or refrigeration equipment.

Additional Qualifications:
•
• Solid knowledge of HVAC/R technology, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and related subjects, experience in the development, design, and evaluation of air conditioning or refrigeration systems and components.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal, customer-focused, and leadership skills.

Base $63-84K + relocation
