Our client is a Marketing firm that uses consumer and business data together with proven techniques to maximize marketing power for their clients worldwide. Services include strategic consulting, database and loyalty technology, proprietary data, predictive modeling and a full range of creative and interactive services including brand and promotional development, web design, email deployment, search engine optimization and direct mail production.
Summary:
This position will oversee the development, work flow and sale of analytical services for the firm. This individual will be responsible for developing and leading the Analytical Services practice, including development and packaging of the services offered, best practices, and providing marketing leadership for target industries and customers. The VP of Analytical Services will leverage support of the sales teams as well as the Analytical Services group to sell and complete analytical services for our clients. This position manages statisticians assigned to internal and external consulting, custom modeling, analytics and research projects. He or she determines allocation of resources across revenue, research and development, client requests, and support of systems and products. Manage statistical process improvements, tools, development of new products, and quality assurance ensuring that sound statistical methods are applied. Provides strategic input on statistical company objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage a team of Director level and below employees, contributing to their technical and career development.
Determine clients’ strategic marketing and analytical services needs and design projects and proposal that meet those needs.
Adjust market strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions
Ensure product and analytical sales targets are achieved.
Responsible for the development of the communication of the analytics vision and value within the firm including training and partnering with sales to ensure they have what they need to be successful.
Collaborate on design and completion of quantitative research methodologies for analytical projects, including modeling, response analysis, and other customer research projects, and collaborate with other functions in the completion of the work.
Act as Executive Sponsor on specified key accounts.
Assess need for analytical services on database accounts.
Oversee the development of analytic reviews for client accounts to support sales goals of the core product and identify up-sell.
Develop new analytical products and services to satisfy client needs and generate income.
Define and execute product centered business plans.
Forecast product growth, across product line, for relevant market segments.
Direct resources required to achieve product and company strategies.
Document and monitor product performance and operational metrics.
Execute operating plans, budgets, and programs that underpin plans
Build and enhance client relationships at the executive (C) level including executive sponsorship of identified accounts.
Accountable for product pricing.
Evaluates product line revenue, contribution, and performance by line item and recommends enhancements to maximize revenue opportunities.
Manage the generation of revenue through model builds and rescores as well as more complex modeling and analytics projects
Direct the design, research, development, and delivery of statistical products, projects, and enhancements to address business needs
Satisfy requirements of the firm business leaders for functionality, cost, and model performance.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Masters degree in statistics or related field.
Minimum 7 years marketing analysis experience, including experience with house files and multi-channel data.
Minimum 7 years analytical model building experience.
Minimum 7 years direct marketing experience.
Minimum 5 years of direct personnel management.
Strong process and methodology orientation.
Demonstrated team player and leadership abilities with the ability to build teams and consensus to support business initiatives.
Excellent project management and people management skills.
Analytical, problem-solving disposition and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
Ability to successfully navigate in a matrixed environment.
Ability / willingness to travel.
