Jobseekers need to exercise their gift of observance. Jobseekers can glean quite a bit of information by listening to conversations in everyday life. Whenever one leaves the house to go buy groceries, buying gas, going to church service, public gatherings and wherever human conversations are being observed, listen for the trigger words that involve employment information.
I’m not telling folks to eavesdrop, but simply pay attention to conversations around us that might be an opportunity to develop a relationship with another person. You can then ask questions about their network.
