options to consider, and this position seemed to be the obvious choice by Friday

I have great news to share. I found out today that I landed a consulting job at
JC Penney’s starting next Wed. This is after almost 2
months of being laid off from Bank of America.
The way it turned out has
to do with – you guessed it – networking. I knew the hiring manager and another
one of my colleagues from TXU who also worked at JC Penney’s. I had kept my

I really miss the Wednesday HR group,  but I am excited to
tell you that I landed a temp contract to hire job with the Texas Workforce Commission.  I
started today so after training this week,  I will be working out of the Grand
Prairie office.  Hopefully I will eventually be able to become permanent in the
position or at least with the State.   So excited, as I feel it relates to HR
and I am looking forward to being able to help people with their next job.
