I’ve been quite busy the last couple of months working on a consulting project
through Resources Global Professionals and have been derelict in responding to
your email. I am already moving on to something else. I just accepted a Regional
Controller position at ACS and start on Monday, February 6. The best part about
this is I wasn’t even looking.
This opportunity came to be via a referral
from a former colleague at Capgemini that is now at ACS. The contact from the
hiring manager, through the interview and offer was all concluded within a
week’s time.
Since I …

Hey Foster, I wanted to let you know that just yesterday I accepted
the National Sales Manager position at Trainor Modular Walls, in Farmers Branch.
I have a long family history in the furniture industry so this comes with a lot
of passion. We currently sell through the Herman Miller Dealer network
nationwide, yet may begin to look at our own sales force in time, so may be
calling for nationally based candidates.

Thank You for your assistance as I embarked once again on a job-search (due to
Saxon being sold to another servicer).  I truly appreciate your vote of
confidence, your job leads, and your words of encouragement.

I have happy news to share – I have accepted a full time position as a Sr.
PM in charge of application development projects, at the PMO department of
Energy Future Holdings.  For those who may not be aware, EFH is the holding
company of TXU Energy and Luminant.  This job lead came to me when a recruiter
found my resume …

I received and accepted an offer for the Learning and Development Manager
at the DFW International Airport this past Friday.  It is pending final
background and reference checks, but I feel confident that it won’t be a
problem. My tentative start date is Monday, February 6th. It is truly a God
thing! The whole process from my first conversation with the recruiter to the
job offer was only two weeks and I didn’t even apply for the position. The
position has actually been open since October and they had a final candidate but
realized that she wasn’t …

I have been selected to help this luxury goods merchandising firm with several
IT initiatives on a contract basis for approx. 7 1/2 months. My first challenge
will be to assist with their messaging strategy and associated IT projects. Of
course, based on how well I perform, other opportunities there could develop. If
that happens, I promise to return with complete donuts (rather than the holes)
at a Thursday morning meeting!
I would like to thank White’s Chapel
United Methodist Church, the SFG Leadership Committee, the SFG Volunteers, and
the membership for this wonderful organization! I’ve met many …

I recently accepted a position with the locally famous El Fenix Restaurants, as
their corporate training manager. It seems the universe, the world, and the lord
works in mysterious ways. A year ago I was a trainer with another national
restaurant group and after much self evaluation and rejection letters, I’m back
in a similar engaging position.
I want to thank everyone involved with SFG
and other groups for their support and knowledge along the way. And I hope that
others successfully land a position of their liking.
If there is
anything I or EL FENIX can do for …

Hi Foster,

I want to let you know that I landed a position at Weber
Aircraft in Gainesville, TX as a R&D Project Engineer. I started at Weber on
November 16.

I have not been able to come by and deliver donuts AND
kolaches yet,…but I will. With starting the job, holidays, and long commute I
have not been able to get by. They paid me a bonus in lieu of relocation
assistance.

I had been working in the interim since last spring with a
friend that is doing General Contracting building retail stores. I was helping
him manage jobs. …

In the very first FWCSN
meeting, one of the resources I heard about was www.careerdfw.com.  I went to their site and saw
where there was an upcoming job fair (on their calendar page).  I attended the
fair in October and ended up talking to many hiring managers which resulted in
getting invited to 2 follow up face to face interviews.  One didn’t pan out but
the other ended up resulting in the landing that I am currently announcing.  As
it turned out, a representative from Mouser who was working the job fair booth
was someone that I …
