Just wanted to share with everyone that I have finally landed a full time Receptionist/ Admin Assistant position with the Healthcare company where I have been volunteering since February!!
I will be working for the Office Manager at Odyssey Healthcare which is a local hospice provider, and I am very excited to be joining a great team that I already have been working with for several months; and I will start next week.

SOFT LANDING: Alan Brolley 2-month contract at BancTec, Irving
I am happy to announce that after 4 months of searching I have accepted a
2-month contract position as a IT Systems Architect, Consultant at BancTec.
I what to thank all those I’ve met at SFG during my journey, especially
Foster Williams and Cleatius Copeland, and others at the CSN-IT group that
meets Tuesday mornings that have supported and assisted me.

I have waited 11 ½ months to be able to write this update to everyone in my network.  I  have accepted a position with PNC Financial Services as the Vice President of Human Resources for Business Banking in Pittsburgh , PA.   I start June 28th and the rush is already on in preparation for the move.  I am very excited about this opportunity as PNC continues to grow, focusing on their employees and the customer.  They are a solid bank and highly capitalized.

I came to the Southlake Focus Group in January 2003 for the first time. In those days, there were about 10-15 guys meeting in the Chapel building at the top of the hill. To be honest, it was depressing. We were all new to this type of thing and were struggling to figure it out. It was a little awkward for all of us. That has been what I envisioned when I thought about Southlake Focus Group since that time.

Networking Friends,
Just wanted to share that I am in the second week of my new job with ITW Shippers.  Wanted to thank those of you from both the Southlake Focus Group and the DFW Sales and Business Development Group that have shared advice and encouraged me during the search.  Especially Foster Williams and Dennis O’Hagan who welcomed me to the world of networking.  It took exactly 6 months to find my new career , just as the TWF Unemployment benefits ran out.  I receive two job offers the same week …

Brief History:
 

I was laid off on Jan. 1st, 2009 – because I decided not to take a position with the company and move to Charleston , S. Carolina .
After much prayer I knew that after 19 years away from home, it was time to return, and God began paving the way for all things to come together. First I will apologize for this mass sent email.  So many of you have been so supportive during my search that I couldn’t send each a personal note.  I’m sure I’ll talk with lots of you in the future and can go into more details.
 
Starting June 1, I will become the Human Resources Director for VLSIP Technologies, Inc. in Richardson, TX.  www.vlsip.com.  This microchip module manufacturing company has approximately 200 employees and has been around since the mid ‘80’s.  I will be replacing a retiring individual in a true “one …

After 6 months of intense networking, interviewing, I have landed a position as a Senior Investment Consultant with a retirement services and asset management firm out of Florida. Luckly for me, they are willing to let me commute and thus, I will not have to up root my family and move to Florida.
