Team up with the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and have a fulfilling and fun career ensuring a Future for the Sport of Bowling. USBC is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the Sport of Bowling and is a membership organization. We provide standardized rules, regulations and benefits to make bowling fair and fun for everyone. We are looking for a HR Assistant to provide clerical support in all areas of human resources and payroll.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist employees and external sources with HR questions
  • Enter personnel data in HRIS (ADP) system including new hires, personnel/benefits changes
  • Completes and submits personnel/benefits notices to payroll for processing
  • Notifies benefits carriers of personnel changes
  • Assists in benefit administration, including enrollments, terminations, and changes
  • Process bills/invoices for select HR/benefits vendors
  • Process evidence of insurability reports
  • Assists in the areas of recruitment and employment such as maintains employment applications, and conduct prescreening of employment applications
  • Process background checks and drug test
  • Sets up and maintains HR files
  • Conducts HR audits
  • Assist with the onboarding process of new hires
  • Provides clerical support including filing, copying, scanning documents, and phone support; prepares mass mailings; prepares HR materials; generates correspondence; maintains supply of new hire and benefits literature; order and maintain supplies; opens/sort/distribute HR department mail
  • Tracks information and timeline progress of assignments and projects
  • Type and update HR/Payroll forms
  • Schedule and set up meetings, interviews, and lunch and learns
  • Set up conference calls
  • Assists with HR projects
QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a HR support role
  • Experience with current MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point, Paint), Windows, and ADP required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, editing and high level of proofing skills
  • Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion required
  • Demonstrated experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines required
  • Strong customers service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations such as payroll and vacation accruals
  • Strong customer service skills required
