Success Stories

I’ve used Job-Link as part of my job search strategy through several transitions. The networking, support and education I received was invaluable. Now Job-LInk is one of the first places I’ll reach out to when I have an HR opening at my company.
Kathy Gutierrez, MBA, SHRM-SPC
Throughout my career, whenever I found my self in career transition, Job-Link has provided reliable, caring resources and leadership in a non-judgmental manner. The venue has assisted in expanding my network, providing best practices for the current job market, and providing a forum that has also introduced me to new friends whom I may not have met otherwise. For those reasons and many more, many thanks to those leaders and to DallasHR for sponsoring an important forum for our HR community!
Laurie Collins, SPHR

Jobseeker networking in the Columbus Ohio area

Employment Networking Group

Our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love which shows itself in actions. 1 John 3:18

The Employment Networking Group is a combined effort between Holy Martyrs and St. Francis Xavier that seeks to help those in their faith communities and beyond who are looking for employment. Those involved in this ministry have created an environment that supports those seeking employment as they go through the job-transition process and work toward helping them connect with contacts who may be able to assist them in their efforts to find meaningful employment. The ministry consists of two groups:

  • Candidates/Seekers: Active job seekers who utilize the network to assist them in their own job search process and to learn about job opportunities. They also support each other and share job opportunities with others in the network.
  • Network/Contacts: Individuals who are willing to be gateways at their places of employment. They provide information on job opportunities at their companies and/or industries, share their own network contacts with candidates, and alert business contacts when a candidate approaches a familiar company.

The Employment Networking Group meets twice a month: on the first Wednesday of the month at Holy Martyrs and the third Tuesday of the month at the Medina Knights of Columbus Hall. Both meetings begin at 7 p.m.; however, a brief orientation session is held at 6:30 p.m. when the group meets at Holy Martyrs.
