They do have a listing of bios for the group’s members on the church’s web page. The group meets every other week (6/13 & 27, 7/11 & 25, 8/8 & 22, 9/5 &19, 10/3 & 17 & 31). The group has reorganized again for the second time since March due to the facilitators landing.

This group is one of the most organized networking ministries, with most of the leadership provided by people who own their own businesses. Recent meetings have had over 40 attendees. The focus is both networking and support. The meetings open with a short devotional and then a spotlighting of two attendees where leads are given to the spotlighted people. They have brought in hiring managers and others as speakers, after the speaker each table is encouraged to get to know each other and share leads. They will go around to all present encouraging people to tell one positive thing that happened to them during the past week.

The group is very active with at least 25 people at each meeting. There is a short prayer to begin the meeting, and then everyone gives their “elevator speech” followed by the good/bad news of the week and an educational program.

This is a small, but growing group. It is made up almost exclusively of members of the St. Andrew parish. The focus of the group is as probably more support than networking. This group is one of the most organized networking ministries. The group has met for over a year. They ran an “inverse job fair” in April of 2002. Recent meetings have had over 60 attendees, with a role exceeding 200. The format of the meetings changed as of August 5th. As of that date, meetings open with a devotional and then proceed to a prayer of praise and concerns expressed by members of the group, after which they break out into Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The policy of bringing speakers for each meeting is being abandoned, at least for now. The speaker program will be considered again after a full time volunteer Executive Director is found. The group used to send out many emails about job opportunities for a very wide variety of positions to all on the master mailing list, effective August 5th jobs that relate to that SIG group’s members will be forward by the SIG leaders in lieu of mass mailings. Over 80 former members have landed. The changes in the group are prompted by the growth of the group and because members of the leadership team are landing. The group also maintains a “Yellow pages” where members list odd jobs that they will do for a fee.

TemecuNet:

Serving the Inland Empire, North San Diego County and Orange County. TemecuNet is a networking group for professionals in the Temecula Valley to connect both virtually and ultimately in person – to cultivate business contacts, find opportunities, provide speakers, and share social networking best practices.

San Diego Bioscience Forum:

Held at 11:30 am held every 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month near the Concierge kiosk across the plaza from the UTC food court. The focus is for life science professionals at any level.

Many biotech/pharma/diagnostics/med device professionals attend the group after finishing at LHH. Group managed by James Wiesner.
